Inspecting the property
Open times for available properties are advertised online via this website or through online advertising sites. Inspection times can also be made directly with the office. Properties are constantly being updated on our website, if we currently do not have anything that is suitable for your needs, register your details with our office and we can update you with new listing information.
The Application Process
If you wish to apply for a property with Scott Real Estate we require an application form to be completed. You can complete this application via Oneform, or use the application form available here or collect an application form from our office. Please ensure you complete each section thoroughly.
Supporting documentation is always helpful with your application, such as confirmation documentation associated with rental payments by third parties such as Austudy, Centrelink, parents or company payment. If you have not recently rented but own/owned your own property providing confirmation of this with a copy of a rates notice would also be helpful.
Once your application has been received it will be processed and you will be provided with an email or phone call response. Upon approval, you will be notified of payment requirements and a personal appointment time to review lease documentation.
Payment of rent & bond
Payments can be made by various methods – DEFT, Bpay, Visa, post bill pay, mastercard

Preparing to Move
It is important to arrange your utilities for the property prior to moving in - such as gas, electricity, telephone, internet. There are many companies offering deals on these services we recommend that you research what is on offer.
Your Porter provides a free, no obligation service to take care of all your arrangements for you to connect a full range of services. If you wish to take advantage of this service just complete the Your Porter section on the application form available here and return this to our office.
Should you wish to have services connected to the property that are currently not there we remind you that you need to seek permission from the owner. Please make your request in writing to our office.

We understand that finding a home for your family can be a stressful process and that people rent properties for a range of reasons.
We aim to assist you to make the leasing process as smooth as possible. We aim to do this by providing a range of convenient resources online; rental application forms, utility connection assistance, online payment services, contents insurance contacts.
During your tenancy we will conduct regular inspections, while this is our obligation under the Tenancies Act we also feel this is a beneficial service to you as well as the owner as it gives us an opportunity to discuss any maintenance or any concerns you may have. We encourage you to be present at these inspections.
Our Online portal service (coming soon) allows you to view and manage many aspects of your tenancy online, using an individual access code provided by our office. You can access property details, current rental information and report maintenance online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Payment of rent can be made direct online by B-pay or direct transfer.
